The role
What I was there to do
TeslaGov was where I began my software-engineering career. I worked across a mature Java application and its emerging cloud services, learning how to modernize a system while continuing to support the people who depended on it every day.

A closer look
The work behind the bullets
Identity
Separating authentication and profiles
One of the first services I built owned password hashes and user profiles outside the monolith. The project was an early lesson in the responsibility that comes with extracting a boundary: migrations, compatibility, security, and operational ownership all move with the code.
Foundations
Learning the whole stack
The role covered backend services, relational data, frontend applications, build tooling, and production maintenance. It gave me the broad base I later brought to Go, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and TypeScript.
